Australia ♥

G’Day mate, it’s me again. This week we are going to the “land down under”! First off it is called the land down under because the entire continent in “under” the equator.
One of the most important days in Australia is January 26, it’s called Australia Day. It is the anniversary of the arrival of the first fleet of convict ships from Great Britain. It’s a time where everyone comes together as a nation to celebrate the great things about Australia and what they are proud of. Over half the population participates by going to community events. People show off their patriotism by wearing crazy outfits in red, white, and blue. Some people even paint their faces, temporary tattoos, or go all out and cover their whole body in the nation’s colors.
Some weird things people probably don't know about Australia:
z  The highest record temperature is 123 degrees F.
z  The lowest record temperature is -9 degree F.
z  It is the driest continent.
z  Thongs not flip flops.
z  Only licensed electricians can change a light bulb.
z  people can never leave their car keys in an unattended vehicle.
z  It is illegal to walk on the right side of the sidewalk.
z  They don’t tip in restaurants.
z  It’s mandatory to vote.
z  They drive on the left side of the road.
z  The legal drinking age is 18.
z  It is the Second country to give women the right to vote.
z  It is a continent, Country, and Island.

Australia has everything from uncrowned white sandy beaches to big cities. There are well over 10,000 beaches. There are two major cities Sydney and Melbourne. Sydney is mold and beautiful while Melbourne is arty and cultured. A must in Australia is to dive and snorkel the Great Barrier Reef because it is the largest reef in the world and the only living organism viewable from outer space.

The French Polynesia Islands ♥

Guess who? That’s right it’s me again! This week we are going to dip our toes into the Pacific Ocean as we head to the islands of French Polynesia.
There are several groups of islands that make up the French Polynesia. A couple of those would include Bora Bora, Moorea and Tahiti.
Let’s start with Bora Bora. The actual name of the island is “Pora Pora” because ‘B’ doesn’t exist in Tahitian but tourist understood it as Bora Bora. There is a ton to do on this island so everyone in the family can have something to do that they’ve always wanted to do like swimming with sharks, parasailing over the crystal clear water and more!
Some must see sights while visiting Bora Bora:
The Nui Beach – It can be a little pricey but it will be worth it, a day in paradise is priceless and everyone probably deserves it.
Mount Otemanu – It is a 2,385 feet tall mountain surrounded by coral reefs.
Now let’s move onto Moorea. It is not a very popular island for tourism but if everyone knew how beautiful it was more people would visit. All the beaches have stunning white sand with bright blue water. The Themae Beach is the largest, it is perfect for swimming, snorkeling and just laying out.
Tahiti is defiantly the most common one of the three. Everyone has usually heard about Tahiti and for good reason. It is beautiful just like the others ones but this one consists of more people, so if someone is looking for a fun time with new people this is the place to go.
All three of the Islands are similar but they have distinctive differences to easily tell them apart.
Thanks for reading once again, join me next week!

Amsterdam ♥

Hey it’s me again. This week I’ll be talking about the bicycle capital of the world, yes I mean Amsterdam.
When people hear “Amsterdam” they automatically think the worst, Drug addicted prostitutes standing in windows. That is not the case at all, yes prostitution is legal and so are soft drugs but most generally people don’t abuse their rights. Prostitutes are taxed and soft drugs are only aloud in 5 gram increments. I’m sure some people try to get out of taxes and use a little more than 5 grams but I mean when people aloud to do it then “Breaking the law” doesn’t seem so tempting. Amsterdam has a bad reputation and in some cases it makes people truly want to go but others not so much. Now it might not be the best place to take a family vacation so maybe Disney World is a better choice.
If one can get past all the stereotypes there are several stunning things to see in Amsterdam.
Such as:
The Anne Frank House: It is the hiding place where Anne Frank wrote her famous diary during World War II. everyone is shocked to know that two families lived in these small areas for over 2 years hiding from the Nazis.

The Canal Ring: Enjoy this beautiful sight several ways. Rent a bicycle and cruse through the canal streets, take a trip on a boat, or just simply walk through the streets at night when the lights are bright.

The Magere Brug: It is a double-leaf Dutch draw bridge connecting the sides of Amstel River. The bridge opens frequently to let boats through. Enjoy the fresh air from the river.
On the other hand, The Red Light District is a place one should steer clear of unless that why they are there. I’m not going to go into detail about what happens here but it is the prostitute’s “place of employment”, catch my drift?
Thanks for reading! J Come back next week as we get a little more tropical.

Ireland ♥

My first adventure is to Ireland. There are a lot of good things about this country but there are some not so good things. For instance “don’t go to Ireland for the weather” is a popular saying when it comes to this rainy place. Although the temperatures are never too hot or cold the rain could be a problem to some people. If  someone is not worried about the rain then it would be a great place to visit it is very green and beautiful.

The main thing that comes to my mind when I think Ireland is the sexy Irish guys. Come on, I know everyone was thinking the same thing, ladies. It’s defiantly true that they have good looking men with hot Irish accents. I’m not too sure about the women so the guys will have to figure that one out for themselves. Even if one is not interested in the men or women there is plenty to keep everyone busy.

v  Dublin is crazy packed with history, sightseeing, and museums it could keep everyone busy for a whole week! one could see everything from the St Patrick's Cathedral and The Dublin Castle to the Trinity College and Temple Bar.
v  The Cliffs of Moher are another must see. The 700 feet drop off into the Atlantic is breathtaking. It’s one of Ireland most impressive landscapes and also one of Europe’s highest sea cliffs.
v  The King of Kerry is one of Ireland’s most famous drives. It is a touring loop that shows off the most beautiful scenery that anyone will ever see.
v  The Hill of Tara overlooks a quarter of the country and was the seat for ancient kings. It is a huge ancient site with mythical and historical connections.

Thanks for reading this week; now I’m going to go find me an Irish hottie! Tune in next week as we explore the streets of Amsterdam. J
