Amsterdam ♥

Hey it’s me again. This week I’ll be talking about the bicycle capital of the world, yes I mean Amsterdam.
When people hear “Amsterdam” they automatically think the worst, Drug addicted prostitutes standing in windows. That is not the case at all, yes prostitution is legal and so are soft drugs but most generally people don’t abuse their rights. Prostitutes are taxed and soft drugs are only aloud in 5 gram increments. I’m sure some people try to get out of taxes and use a little more than 5 grams but I mean when people aloud to do it then “Breaking the law” doesn’t seem so tempting. Amsterdam has a bad reputation and in some cases it makes people truly want to go but others not so much. Now it might not be the best place to take a family vacation so maybe Disney World is a better choice.
If one can get past all the stereotypes there are several stunning things to see in Amsterdam.
Such as:
The Anne Frank House: It is the hiding place where Anne Frank wrote her famous diary during World War II. everyone is shocked to know that two families lived in these small areas for over 2 years hiding from the Nazis.

The Canal Ring: Enjoy this beautiful sight several ways. Rent a bicycle and cruse through the canal streets, take a trip on a boat, or just simply walk through the streets at night when the lights are bright.

The Magere Brug: It is a double-leaf Dutch draw bridge connecting the sides of Amstel River. The bridge opens frequently to let boats through. Enjoy the fresh air from the river.
On the other hand, The Red Light District is a place one should steer clear of unless that why they are there. I’m not going to go into detail about what happens here but it is the prostitute’s “place of employment”, catch my drift?
Thanks for reading! J Come back next week as we get a little more tropical.
